1.Admission:
BracU offers excellent facilities to foreign students for studying in Bangladesh in various disciplines at the undergraduate level.
1.1 Application deadlines:
Foreign students are eligible to apply only in Fall Semester. Foreign applicants’ admission deadlines are as follows:

1.2 Minimum qualifications for applying
1.2.1 Academic qualifications (for all programs except Pharmacy)
Minimum GPA of 3.5 in O-Levels in five subjects and A-Levels in two subjects according to the Brac University scale (A=5, B=4, C=3 & D=2). Subjects with E grade will not be considered.
Candidates who have completed higher secondary education (12 years of schooling) under a system different from 0/A Level or equivalent will be considered.
Candidates with a break of study of not more than three years may apply for admission.
1.2.2 Academic qualifications (for Pharmacy)
Candidates must have a minimum aggregate GPA 7.00 in “O” level/equivalents and “A” level/equivalents examinations (on a total scale of 10).
Candidates must pass “O” level/recognized equivalents and “A” level/recognized equivalents in the Science Group and obtain a minimum GPA 3.5 (on a scale of 5) without any additional subject.
Candidates must pass “A” level/recognized equivalent examination with a minimum GPA 3.0 in Chemistry and Biology separately and a minimum GPA 2.0 in Mathematics (on a scale of 5).
Candidates must pass “A” level/equivalents with the following science subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.
Candidates must pass “A” level/recognized equivalent examination in the current year or previous year.
Foreign students must pass 12 years of education, with similar grades in equivalent examinations recognized from foreign institutions.
1.2.3 Subject Requirements for particular program
Candidates for Engineering and Physical Sciences (EEE, ECE, CSE, APE and PHY) must have a minimum C grade in Physics & Mathematics at A Level/equivalents. Candidates for BSc in Computer Science and BSc in Mathematics must have a minimum C grade in Mathematics at A Level/equivalents.
Candidates for BSc in Electronic & Communication Engineer and Electrical & Electronic Engineering having Physics and Mathematics but not Chemistry at A Level/equivalents must take a remedial course in Chemistry, in addition to the courses required for the program.
Candidates for BSc in Biotechnology and Microbiology should have a minimum C grade in Biology and Chemistry at A Level/equivalents. Candidates not having Mathematics at A Level/equivalents must take a remedial course in Mathematics in addition to the courses required for the program.
Candidates for Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) should have a minimum C grade in Biology, Physics and Chemistry in A Level or equivalent examination. However candidates having no Mathematics at the A level/recognized equivalents may be admitted, but they need to take an extra 03 credit courses in Mathematics relevant to the B.Pharm curriculum.

1.4 Admission test
At the time of application, the applicants need to attach all academic and other related documents with the application form.
Applicants will get written admission test exemption if they have a minimum SAT score of 1550 (Old)/SAT score 1050 (New) for ANT, ENG, LLB, BBA, ECO, BIO, MIC, CS, CSE, ECE, EEE, MAT, APE, PHY and TOEFL paper based score of 550/ TOEFL iBT score of 79 for ANT, ENG, LLB or IELTS score of 6.5 for ANT, ENG, LLB. They must provide proper evidence to get written test exemption through email minimum 15 days before the admission test.
All written admission test qualified applicants will give their viva virtually on specific date and time.
1.5 Provisional admission
Many students wishing to join the University might not have the required standard of proficiency in English language. If students fail to attain the minimum standard of English proficiency required by the University they may be asked to attend remedial English courses before admission. At the end of this course they will have to take an English proficiency test and if qualified will be admitted to BracU.

1.7 Requirements for the Degree
As Brac University is based on the US university system, all undergraduate degrees are about four years duration. For each degree at least 120 credits are required. Students are responsible for meeting degree requirements. Before selecting courses each semester students should consult their academic advisor. The University reserves the right to change programs and curricula without notice whenever circumstances warrant such changes.
Following are the requirements for graduation in an undergraduate program:
A minimum of 120 credits for a Bachelor's degree out of which at least 70 must be earned at Brac University. For students of Architecture Department at least 134 credits must be earned at BRAC University.
Attending the residential semester is compulsory for all BracU students.
Completion of all course requirements for the degree including general education courses, non-major area courses, major area courses, elective courses and courses for double major or minor is compulsory.
A student must complete the requisite number of credits of course work and meet other requirements depending on the program in which he/she is enrolled and must maintain a minimum CGPA of 2.00.
A student must have clearance from Brac University Accounts', Library and Registrar's Office.
Fulfillment of the above conditions does not necessarily mean that a degree will be conferred on the student. The University reserves the right to refuse the awarding of degree on disciplinary or similar grounds.
