A. All BRACU graduates having a CGPA 3.00 or above are exempted from the written admission test.*
B. Fields for Exemption of Test**:
- Applicants of MA ENG/MA TESOL/MBA/MDMP/MDS/MPSM/PPDM will get exemption from the written test if they have the following GRE/GMAT scores:
i. Graduate Record Examination (GRE):
Earlier/Old GRE: 450 verbal/550 analytical/650 quantitative
Revised GRE: 300 total for combined Verbal and Quantitative scores
or,
ii. Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT):
560 total for combined scores
[GRE & GMAT scores are considered valid for five years after the test date]
- Applicants of MA ENG/ MA TESOL will get exemption from the written test if they have the following IELTS/TOEFL scores:
i. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL):
580 (Paper-based test) or 240 (Computer-based test), 94 (Internet-based test - iBT)
ii. International English Language Testing System (IELTS):
Overall band score of 7.0, with sub scores of 6.0 each
[IELTS & TOEFL scores are considered valid for two years after the test date]
- Applicants of MS BIO/ MSc CSE /MCA/ MSc EEE will get exemption from the English Composition part of the written test if they have the following IELTS/TOEFL scores: (Note that the applicants must appear in the program-wise sections of the written test)
i. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL):
550 (Paper-based test) or 213 (Computer-based test), 80 (Internet-based test - iBT)
ii. International English Language Testing System (IELTS):
Overall band score of 6.5, with sub scores of 6.0 each
[IELTS & TOEFL scores are considered valid for two years after the test date]
